Legal Assistant
April Butler joined McAndrews Law Offices, P.C. in 2014, as a Legal Assistant in the Berwyn, Pennsylvania office. April ‘s primary focus is assisting Attorney Michael E. Gehring with his Special Education matters in both state and federal courts as well as completing client intake interviews for our Estates and Trusts Department.
Mrs. Butler has 16-years of extensive experience in both private and public education sectors and the human service industry, where she has established a track record of success in the development and funding of educational programs, improved educational processes and procedures, and collaborating with internal and external partners throughout Montgomery County and the surrounding areas. She previously worked at The Lincoln Center for Family & Youth as a Senior Program Director for an Alternative Education Program and Family Resource Center. Here, April supported youth and their families with Special Education needs, clients of Office of Children & Youth, and facilitated groups for Montgomery County’s Drug and Alcohol Youth Aid Panel. She also was the Program Director of The Lincoln Center’s Elder Wise Program and provided public speaking engagements throughout Montgomery County to assist those over the age of 60 and their love ones with transitions of life.
April has a Master of Business Administration degree– Concentration in Management from Strayer University (Jack Welch Management Institute) and her undergraduate degree from Wesley College, Dover, D.E. (B.A. in Psychology).
April recently completed her seven year term serving as Board President for Penn Christian Academy’s Board of Directors, and has volunteered her time since 2014 serving as Co-Chair of Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy Development Committee. She has four children and lives in Douglassville, PA., with her husband, daughter and two sons.
