As an update to our 5/21/21 information, we are sharing that the PA House of Representatives Education Committee overwhelmingly voted “YES” to the Senate Bill (664) which provides parents the right to decide whether a child should repeat a grade for the 2021-2022 school year as a result of COVID19. The Bill also provides that students with special needs turning 21 would be entitled to an extra year of service in the 2021-2022 school year.
The next step is a full vote in the House of Representatives scheduled for Today, Monday June 14, 2021. We are watching the vote and will keep you posted! The Senate bill contains a deadline for parents to act of July 15, 2021 so please keep connected for more information!
