The MLO Minute:
Jacqueline (“Jacki”) C. Lembeck is considered a premier special education attorney in Pennsylvania, and from 2014 to 2018 she provided outstanding service to our clients as an associate attorney at McAndrews Law Offices in the Special Education Department. As Jacki’s family expanded, she found a need to work closer to home and obtained extraordinarily valuable experience providing comprehensive and highly professional work on behalf of school districts from 2018 until July, 2021. Fortunately for our firm and the clients we represent, Jacki’s desire to represent parents was rekindled, and our firm’s opportunities for remote work expanded such that she was able to return to our firm on July 19. Jacki will represent parents and children in all forms of special education matters, and will also assist with our extensive federal court litigation activities.
Jacki graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated in the top ten percent of her law school class.
While in law school, Jacki served as a student attorney at the Barton Child Law and Policy Center in the Appeal for Youth clinic. She was awarded the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement for her representation of juveniles in criminal appeals. Additionally, Jacki interned at the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in White Plains, New York, in the trial division and the motions and appeals division.
After law school, Jacki served as a law clerk and attorney advisor to Administrative Law Judges at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Prior to her first stint at McAndrews Law Offices, she worked as an associate attorney at a school law firm in New Jersey. She is bar-licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey, and lives in suburban Philadelphia with her husband, their two children, and their rescue dog.
