The MLO Minute: “MLO Named To The Legal Intelligencer’s 2023 Watch List” —
BERWYN, PA, September 2023: McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. (MLO) is proud to announce that we have been named to The Legal Intelligencer’s 2023 “Watch List”! The Legal Intelligencer is the country’s oldest daily law journal and serves Philadelphia and the surrounding regions.
The 2023 “Watch List” highlights small to midsize law firms (up to 250 attorneys) “that should be on everybody’s radar” and that are thriving in areas such as new practice areas, diversity/inclusion, innovation, firm growth, new practice areas, notable verdicts, community outreach and more, according to ALM and Law.com.
Our firm has been named to the 2023 Pennsylvania “Watch List” under the category of Unique Focus. More specifically, we are recognized by the selection committee because of our “unique mission and comprehensive approach to representations”.
About McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. (MLO): We are a boutique firm that serves the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families, including the areas of special education, special needs trusts, college accommodations, guardianship, and injuries to persons with disabilities. We have grown from a sole practitioner legal entity over 40 years ago to possessing one of the largest Special Education Departments in the United States, and regularly pursue cutting edge litigation on behalf of children with disabilities in the federal courts. Our Estate Planning/Administration Department was among the first in the country to develop special needs trusts for families and individuals with disabilities, and are well respected for our work in elder law/Medicaid planning, guardianship, and family-based estate planning. We are widely recognized as national leaders in the unique fields of special education and special needs trusts which are of critical importance to individuals with disabilities. We bring compassion, extraordinary skills and over a century of collective experience to this work, and constantly pursue in-house training for our entire staff. We have created and built a courtroom in our main office in Berwyn, Pennsylvania for in-person training within our office structure. This work complements our other unique parallel practices in complex estate planning, Title IX representation, and injuries in school settings.
Dennis McAndrews, Esq., Founder and Managing Partner Emeritus, states: “Over the years, I have found that the best management practice is to hire individuals — persons of integrity, judgment, compassion, and diligence — not just based on resumes, but rather finding professionals who are committed to the important work we provide to families. In our practice, we don’t just handle “cases” — we represent clients — people who need our help, and our special education and estates and trust teams are exceptional in meeting these criteria.”
Our entire legal family here at McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. is incredibly honored for this recognition, and we look forward to continuing to provide you and your families with exceptional legal representation!
