It is important for every school to not only have in place anti-bullying policies, but to ensure that those policies are followed, that teachers and staff are trained to recognize bullying and appropriately intervene, and that students learn appropriate coping skills.

- Define the problem of bullying, especially as it relates to bullying of students with disabilities in school.

- Highlight practical steps parents can take to assist their children with bullying issues (both in regard to getting bullied, and engaging in bullying behaviors).
