Kimberly A. Caputo

Kimberly A. Caputo, senior counsel at McAndrews Mehalick Connolly Hulse and Ryan, is an attorney specializing in educating students with disabilities across Pennsylvania with a focus on supporting families in Philadelphia and the southeastern part of the state. Kim has been connected to the legal and program aspects of special education for school age kids for over thirty (30) years. Through her practice with the firm, she represents and supports “parents” (biological, foster, grandparents) and caregivers across the southeastern portion of Pennsylvania handling all aspects of claims including early intervention, evaluation, discipline, transition, and programming under IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. She has extensive experience with many Pennsylvania Districts and Charter Schools. Prior to joining the firm, Kim represented a large urban School District where she also held leadership administrative level positions.
Kim is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid, is a Board member with Disabilities Rights PA, a non-profit, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Rights Committee and Education Law Committee. She is a frequent lecturer on Special Education Topics and provides support to various agencies working with families and children.
