Buy a Zoë Band & Help Refugees
The late Olympic Gold Medal wrestler, Dave Schultz, was known as “The man with a million best friends.” His legacy lives on through his son, Xander, and his charitable work to raise money for refugees in Greece. Through his efforts to help those affected by violence in the middle east, he has created the Zoë Bands as part of the launch of the Indiegogo campaign.
Zoë Bands are beautiful unisex bracelets made from life vests worn by refugees during their dangerous crossing of the Aegean Sea. All profit from their sales is used to provide refugees with basic necessities like food and clothing.
For our project to be a true success, we needed to find a way to provide aid for the refugees AND maintain harmony between them and their kind hosts, the economically embattled people of Lesvos.
This is why we set up our operations in Lesvos, manufacturing the bands on the island and buying all aid from the local restaurants, grocery stores, shops and pharmacies that had previously relied on tourism.
We use life vests as our primary material to spread empathy for refugees and as a means of up-cycling the hundreds of thousands of life vests that litter the beaches.
We invite you to join us in spreading compassion and alleviating suffering. This Thunderclap, announces the launch of our Indiegogo campaign and the beginning of our quest to help those in desperate need.
We’ll be taking our first Zoë Bands orders when we launch our Indiegogo campaign on April 20th.
We’re using Thunderclap, which automatically publishes our launch day FB post or Tweet for you on our launch day, so you don’t have to remember.
