January 30th, 2018: Persons with disabilities in Delaware desiring to designate an individual who can assist with making important financial, medical, and other decisions can now do so more easily using a DHSS approved form available online. Supported Decision Making is a great tool to use when an individual is capable of making his or her own decisions (such that guardianship would be inappropriate) but wants some assistance from a trusted friend or family member.
