This past year, several high-profile cases became the spotlight of American television. Specifically, the Bill Cosby case, the FX series American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson, and the Netflix show Making a Murderer, have all caught the attention of the public. The American Law Journal, produced by Christopher Naughton, Esq., is a TV show that covers issues within various types of law and airs on the Philadelphia CNN-News affiliate WFMZ-TV each week. Because of the heightened interest in these notorious cases, The American Law Journal and The Legal Intelligencer collaborated to produce programs to help the nation better understand the intricate details involved in prosecuting these trials. Dennis McAndrews, Esq. & Joseph McGettigan, Esq. of McAndrews Law were invited to participate as special guests as part of their production of the true crime episodes.
This month, The American Law Journal was nominated for four 2016 Emmy® Nominations in the Mid-Atlantic Region. McAndrews Law Offices is honored to be a part of one of the nominated episodes and we would like to extend a big congratulations and thank-you to The American Law Journal for having us be a part of such a captivating show! The Emmy® winners will be announced on September 24th in Philadelphia, PA at a gala awards ceremony – stay tuned!
