FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —
“McAndrews Law Welcomes New Attorney, Laura Attieh, Esq.!” —
BERWYN, PA, January 2024: McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. (MLO) is pleased to announce that Attorney Laura Attieh has joined our legal team where she will focus her practice in our special education department. Ms. Attieh brings with her nearly 15 years of child advocacy experience, having handled hundreds of complex and highly sensitive cases regarding children within the criminal justice system.
Prior to joining MLO, Ms. Attieh served as Deputy District Attorney for Northampton County, prosecuting the largest, most complex case of human trafficking in the Lehigh Valley — obtaining a 76 ½ year-to-life imprisonment sentence protecting multiple victims. Commonwealth v. Seth Mull (Dec 2018). Ms. Attieh served as Chief Prosecutor of the Juvenile Unit, as well as on the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, where she addressed countless cases involving juveniles within the criminal justice system related to issues of dependency, truancy, and school discipline.
Ms. Attieh states, “The interplay between such cases within special education may be overlooked, leaving parents very under-represented.” Ms. Attieh’s career experience and skills enable her to provide comprehensive and compassionate representation for children with disabilities and their families. She also looks forward to representing students of all ages, including post-secondary matters, in Title IX proceedings. Child advocacy is Ms. Attieh’s passion and her reputation as a remarkable trial attorney in these areas speaks for itself.
Our entire team at McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. welcomes Laura Attieh to our legal family and looks forward to the opportunity to work with such an incredibly passionate and driven attorney who strives to improve the lives of the children that we serve every day.
