FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: “The Special Education Department of McAndrews Law Welcomes Rachel Rosenberg, Esq.!”
BERWYN, PA, February 2024: McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. (MLO) is excited to announce that Attorney Rachel Rosenberg has joined our legal team where she will focus her practice in our Special Education Department. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and comes to our firm with extensive experience working with children and families and advocating for their legal and educational needs.
Prior to joining MLO, Ms. Rosenberg worked for Dechert, an international law firm, where she focused her work on product liability, mass torts, and complex commercial litigation. Because of her passion for representing individuals who are underserved, she spent a significant portion of her time on pro bono work, leading, among other things, litigation involving children in the welfare system, including advocating for students with IEPs. Ms. Rosenberg also handled cases with the Homeless Advocacy Project, the ACLU, the Public Interest Law Center, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and many other legal aid organizations.
Ms. Rosenberg was involved in the Glen Mills School litigation, alongside the Education Law Center and the Juvenile Law Center, where she represented a proposed class in a federal class action against a former Pennsylvania reform school, for constitutional and statutory violations related to educational and physical abuse of former students, including claims based on special education violations.
Ms. Rosenberg states, “I have always wanted to advocate for the well-being of children, and there is no better way to ensure children reach their full potential and have every best chance for success than by advocating for their educational rights. I am so honored and excited to join McAndrews Law Offices in their pursuit of that, and to devote all the skills I’ve gained in my career thus far toward that mission.”
