Our legal family is pleased to announce that our firm’s founder, Dennis McAndrews, has received the “Melmark Hero Award” in recognition of his decades of service to individuals with disabilities and their families. In presenting this award to Mr. McAndrews, Melmark stated that he “has worked tirelessly throughout his career to fight for the rights of individuals with autism and intellectual developmental disabilities. Dennis has selflessly advocated for and supported families affected by disability, not only at Melmark, but throughout a number of Pennsylvania communities. He has been steadfast in his work to secure the highest quality supports and programs for all children and adults with special needs. He has received exemplary professional ratings in recognition for his work representing our most vulnerable citizens.”
In accepting the award, Dennis stated that, “I know who the true service heroes are– they are the selfless direct care staff, the loving families, and the caring administrators who strive every day to foster greater independence, self-sufficiency, and fulfillment in our fellow citizens with disabilities. I have seen firsthand the wonderful services that Melmark provides and have been privileged to work with this outstanding institution during much of my career.”
Dennis is deeply thankful for the tireless support he has received during his entire career from his wife, Liz, and from his daughters, Caitlin, Allyson, Jacqueline, and Brianna, who have also faithfully traveled this long journey with him. He is also greatly appreciative of his outstanding colleagues for their remarkable work and collaboration, and particularly recognizes his longtime Office Manager, Jan Hardy, who has worked so diligently and effectively for over 25 years on behalf of our vulnerable clients.
In Spring, 2022, our law firm will celebrate its 40th anniversary, and we look forward to many more years of service to our community!
