The MLO Minute

It is with great pleasure that we announce the hiring of John W. Goldsborough, Esq., as our federal litigation and appellate counsel in our Berwyn office! 

John has been an attorney for 25 years, and has spent the last 19 years serving as a prosecutor in the Federal Litigation Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. John handled approximately 400 habeas cases including numerous hearings and oral arguments involving voluminous records and extremely complex legal issues. He has briefed over 40 appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, 18 of which he argued, with overwhelming success. Prior to that, he held clerkships with the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, and practiced in family law, mental health and child dependency. 

Significantly, John also possesses a Master’s Degree in Education from Columbia University and taught in public school in Maryland prior to receiving his law degree from Villanova University School of Law. From a family of public educators, he has a tremendous passion for education and disability advocacy, in addition to significant past federal litigation experience. John and his family have been active in disability advocacy for several years and are well connected with and involved in this community. 

John is well known for his strong work ethic, excellent writing and appellate advocacy, superior legal skills, kindness, and collegiality. Please join us in welcoming John to our MLO family!
