The MLO Minute: “MLO’s Pittsburgh Attorneys Named to Board Service” —

Our firm is honored to announce that our two leading Pittsburgh attorneys have been recognized for their incredible work on behalf of individuals with disabilities. Nancy Potter was recently named to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Arc of Greater Pittsburgh. Additionally, Jillian Zacks will continue her Board service for the Arc of Greater Pittsburgh and was named vice-chair of the Achieva Board of Trustees. Jillian and Nancy will serve two year terms, working to empower the nonprofits in their advocacy for children and adults with disabilities and their families.
The Arc of Greater Pittsburgh, a member of the Achieva Family of Organizations, promotes and protects the human rights of people with disabilities. The Arc ensures that individuals and their families have access to information, support and advocacy and that policymakers and legislators are informed about disability issues. Achieva is a non-profit organization located in southwestern Pennsylvania that advocates for, empowers, and supports people with disabilities and their families throughout their lives. Achieva envisions a community where all people with disabilities lead lives of personal significance.
Jillian is an attorney in MLO’s Pittsburgh office, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianship, Estate Administration and Orphans’ Court Matters. Nancy, also an attorney in MLO’s Pittsburgh office, provides legal representation to students and families in all areas of education advocacy, with a focus on special education, education civil rights, student discipline, and enrollment of special populations.
