Honored: Dennis McAndrews is slated to receive the Award For Excellence of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law Alumni Association.
In its announcement of the award, the Villanova Law Alumni Association stated that in the past 50 years since its inception, the award was only given out twice.
It is presented to an alumnus who, through contributions in the legal profession, became prominent in his or her career by demonstrating critical thinking, mutual respect and a responsibility to those in need.
The two prior recipients are Judge Marjorie Rendell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and Martin G. McGuinn, CEO and chairman of Mellon Financial Corp.
The award is scheduled to be presented to McAndrews at this year‘s annual Alumni Reception and Awards Presentation on Thursday at The Union League of Philadelphia.
