Trusted Contacts for Elderly Individuals
A critical area of our Estate Planning practice involves working with elderly citizens, as well as families that care about/for these individuals. This unique area of the law has come to be known as “Elder Law“, and a particularly important aspect of this practice is developing mechanisms which allow the elderly to maintain as much independence as possible, while creating protections which are necessary. Our region is very fortunate to have Erin Arvedlund at the Philadelphia Inquirer who reports on important financial issues regularly, including those which affect our older citizens. The following link provides an interesting article by Erin which discusses the issues of “trusted contacts” for citizens who may need some assistance with their financial affairs. We think you will enjoy reading it.
